"Books are a mirror of ones soul which enrich the mind and soothe the heart."
A book fair is like a feast of books. To eye books of so many varieties and that too in a large number at a time is really a wonderful experience. RBK Global School organized three days ‘Book Fair’ from 27th to 29th July, 2017. RBK Global School believes in providing its students with holistic and informative literature to enrich their vocabulary and diction. Scholastic Book Fairs serve to promote the habit of reading in school-going children. By offering children a wide selection of books and related material through the school system, they wish to give them an opportunity to read by choice and not by compulsion. It was an amazing opportunity for teachers and parents to come together and browse through books with the children. The kids had fun sharing the books they had read. The children enjoyed the fair and picked books varying from science to spooky stories; from puzzles to poems; and from fiction to facts. The teachers equally helped the children in selecting the books. The children wished the fair to last for a longer time as it would give them an opportunity to read and access more informative literature besides their efficiently loaded school library. The attractive "wish list brochures" were filled up and taken home by students during the fair. Books are our best friends. And book fairs play a great role in encouraging the reading habit among people of all age groups.

“If a child cannot learn in the way we teach;
we must teach in a way the child can learn.” Field trips add fun to the entire experience of learning and enriching ourselves. RBK Global School firmly believes in innovating ourselves in teaching methodologies. The topic of Neighbourhood can best be understood only if the learners explore the same. With this objective, the Primary section organized a field trip to Neigbouring places campus on 23rd, 24th and 25th of July 2017 for Grade 1, 2 and 3 along with their respective teachers. The exciting trip started with the cheer of the enthusiastic kids. Students observed the different kinds of houses on campus, something they are familiar with. Many of them were taking notes of what they saw. They visited the temple and the church. They also saw the police station, school and the hospital and understood the contribution of our helpers in the neighbourhood. They were asked to differentiate clean and dirty roads and causes of dirty roads. Children saw traffic on the road and teacher explained the necessity of using public transport. Children saw different vehicles like trains, BEST buses, cars, taxis, trucks and were able to identify them. They saw big bridges and flyovers, huge skyscrapers and buildings under construction. Children got a chance to share their knowledge with their friends. When they were back in school they were asked to draw all that they saw on the field trip and write their reflection. It was indeed fascinating. Although it was a rainy, it did not dampen the spirits of our enthusiastic learners and ended on a happy note. The learners, we‘re sure had enough information to share with their parents. Education is that which liberates, liberates from fear, liberates from poverty, liberates from conflicts, liberates from ignorance and brings about a change in the capacities and talents latent in learners. To achieve this we need to change the age old teacher centred strategies to learner centred technology.
With this as our objective we at RBK Global entered a new venture, shifting from traditional delivery methods and set path on digital teaching and learning through digitally translated content by either teacher or available e-published content. Thus, empowering learners to grasp concepts more quickly, to connect theory and application more adeptly, and to engage in learning more readily. For facilitators it simplifies and saves time with classroom, Gmail, Docs and more to create paperless assignments and stay organized. Thus moving ahead as a Google School. The silence in the RBK Global School campus finally came to an end with the chirping of happy students as the school gates opened after the holidays. The students were back in school after a long summer break. They were thrilled, excited and raring to go! The assembly was teeming with a wave of enthusiasm. The students had come back fresh, re-energized , well rested and full of excited stories of their vacations. Laughter and cheerfulness greeted the start of the new term! Friends hugged each other and students greeted teachers with sunny smiles and warm wishes. June 06, 2017 began on a ‘Happy Note’ at RBK Global School,Bhayander. Everyone was happy to be back! The assembly began with a prayer and a thought for the day "Success without hardwork is like, harvesting where you haven’t planted” and with a welcome speech for the students. Cheerful and sparkling words flew in the assembly to motivate the students and invigorate their spirits with optimism and dynamism. The music teacher sang a song specially composed welcoming the students. The lively start of the day blew fresh energy into the students and teachers. The term was packed with loads of exciting lessons and activities! The children were in cherry spirits and happy to be back to school! Art is the most beautiful form of expression in which through colors, one reflects their thoughts beautifully on a canvas encapsulating the visions of the given topic. Education in today’s times is not confined to the sterile data strips of academics; it is a manifestation of 360 degree learning. Environment Week should encourage us to reflect on what we are doing to make our planet a more sustainable and livable place. Continuing the celebration of Environment Week in school and in order to make children aware of uses of waste material and to give them a lesson on reducing waste, the school organized art competition. “Art Competition - Save Environment' was organized for the students of class I, II and III on 23rd June, 2017. It was the time to make the most of their creativity and to colour their thoughts out. Each student prepared a beautiful poster. The participants used their imagination and creativity and depicted their thoughts in the most appealing manner. The activity turned out to be highly enriching, enthralling and exciting for all the participants. The activity displayed creativity and imagination of the little ones and developed the sense of love for the environment. The winners of the competition were: Tweesha Parida, Dhairya Gajjar, Shrisha Roka from Grade I Satarupa Goswami, Ankita Mondal, Darsh Sharma from Grade II Neetu Bhimrajka , Akshit Rajput , Vedik Deepak Mundhra from Grade III In today’s times, we hear a lot about child abuse and molestation. It’s high time, we should start teaching young children about “Good Touch and Bad Touch” to help prevent more damage. Most of the time, targets are very young children, below 6-7 years of age. They are too young to understand the difference between right and wrong. Every now and then we hear cases of young children, both boys and girls, being sexually abused by an adult around them. The problem is, that they do not even know what is happening. It is still a sensitive topic for us so we hesitate to take up and speak on sensitive topics. But RBK Global School took an initiative to sensitize our learners children from a very young age and make our children aware about good touch and bad touch as early as possible so that they are equipped to understand this sensitive issue. But our job was not done yet. Alerting children was not enough, we have to teach them what to do if ever they face such situations.
Sensitizing children about various issues and about good touch bad touch, makes them emotionally strong and helps them to grow normally. It helps them handle “not so positive events” in life in a better way so that it does not impact their growth and personality. Come, let’s join hands to make this world a better and safer place for our young generation. Although many children of this age tend to tell stories, it is vital that as a parent, as a teacher that we support them, and believe them. They need to know that they can trust us, and that we will protect them. Share40 An orientation program was arranged for the parents of Primary on 1st July,2017 as a next step towards becoming a RBK Global Family. This was mainly for the parents to understand the teaching – learning methodology implemented in the school.
The program was scheduled for the parent’s comfort. Apart from the teaching process, the parents were made aware about the teaching techniques & curriculum, assessment pattern, life skills, manners, etiquettes, home work policy and art activities of the school. The principal also gave some parenting tips to the parents and suggested them how to groom their children to develop their personality. Parents were allowed to interact and have meeting with the teachers as for betterment of our learners we teacher and parent have to act like a team so that our kids can get best of everything. It had been a platform for the parents to visualize the activities carried in the school. It was for the betterment of their children and an opening gateway to the success of our enthusiastic learners. One of the most important dates in France is 14th July and it is called as Bastille Day.On this day the RBK Global school arranged an educational program for the students under the guidance of their teachers. At the onset of program everyon cheered wishing each other “Bonjour”- (Good Morning). The students who have French as their optional language, put together a wonderful show, evidently to showcase their skill in speaking the language. Historical significance behind this day was presented by budding artists in form of models representing French culture which is associated with fashion, cuisine, art and architecture. Learners set the stage on fire by their eloquent introduction in French language.The principal madam proudly patted on the backs of the brilliant performers and shoulders who handled the responsibly to groom them.The spirit of happiness, joyfulness shone brightly The little students attempted to speak in French; they colored the flags to decorate the nooks and corners of the school in tricolor. This cheerful, fantastic extravaganza reinstated the most important motto of France Liberté, Égalité, Fraternité, (Freedom, Equality, and Brotherhood) and essentially raised respect towards other’s culture by exploring more about it.
Guru Purnima felicitations …......... an occasion to thank the ones who show the way!
Nelson Mandela once said, “Education is the most powerful weapon you can use to change the world.” The teacher imparts education hence the role of the teacher is of paramount importance both in the present and future of a student. Guru Purnima is the day to offer salutations to the gurus for they are the ones who nurture students, prepping them to take on the onerous task of steering our country in future time. The nation therefore, along with all pupils, is obligated to all gurus for shouldering this tremendous responsibility. So, as every year, in keeping with the tradition of revering gurus for their invaluable contribution in shaping the minds and characters of the young people in their charge, the School celebrated the occasion on 7th July, 2017. The learners of primary section of RBK Global School expressed their gratitude towards their gurus on this auspicious occasion of `GURU PURNIMA`. The function took place in the assembly hall. The assembly hall was decorated with posters and banners. The event commenced with an introductory speech on Guru Purnima followed by a group song- ` Guru Brahma Guru Vishnu …` which set up the atmosphere .The learners of grade 3 also enacted a skit to consolidate the bond of teacher - student relation. The fusion dance by the little ones was a tribute to the gurus of the ancient and modern times depicting the role of gurus in fostering excellence and steering their pupils towards fulfilling their individual potentials. Inspiring dohas reflected the relevance of a guru in ones life. The leaners, cladded in different attires, portrayed themselves as our eminent past scholars. Last but not the least , the event was a memorable one, leaving an imprint on each and every personnel amongst the audience. |
