It was a golden day in the history of India when the country got her freedom on August 15, 1947. It took hundreds of years to us to break shackles of slavery. People of the country celebrate this festival every year with great pomp and show. The main Programme is celebrated at the Red Fort in New Delhi. Besides this festival is also celebrated in every city and town, in schools, colleges and universities. Same took place in RBK Global School , as every year. After the marvelous song we had an inspiring speech presented by our learner . A PPT was presented by our learners showing the significance of Independence Day for us as well as the people who sacrificed themselves so that we can attain this most precious thing. To make our celebration complete we had winners of Patriotic Song competition presenting their songs.
After the enthralling performances by the winners we had something unusual but very exciting presentation by some of our learners who captured hearts by presenting our National anthem in sign language which was indeed marvelous.
Our celebration ended with a vote of thanks presented by our learners Vinamrata Khandelwal and Yana Dhandharia from Grade 2 followed by some great and inspiring thoughts from our principal ma'am.

Drawing is a curious process, so intertwined with the process of seeing that the two can hardly be separated. Ability to draw depends on ability to see the way an artist sees, and this kind of seeing can marvelously enrich the life of a child. RBK Global School teaches the art of drawing to help the students to discover these abilities.
When children get a chance to express their creativity and dive into art, they develop confidence, increase their empathy and discover how to look at the world from different perspectives. All those skills help prepare students to take on the world with passion and creativity.
Krishna Janmashtami (Lord Krishna''s Birth day) is also known as Krishnashtami, Saatam Aatham, Gokulashtami, Ashtami Rohini, Srikrishna Jayanti, Sree Jayanti. Celebrated on the eighth day of Savana month, Janmashtami marks the birth of Lord Krishna, an avatar of Lord Vishnu.
Lord Krishna is an embodiment of playfulness, innocence, wit and charm that is beautifully associated with childhood. It is therefore seen that his birthday is observed and celebrated with great pomp and splendor all across the world. RBK Global School also celebrated the occasion of Janmashtami where students dressed up as little Radhas and Krishnas in Indian attire and finery.
Janmashtami festival was celebrated with great zeal and pomp by the children of RBK Global School. A cradle decked up with flowers with Bal Gopal was the centre of attraction.
Students of primary wing flaunted their talent through flute colouring, matki (pot) decoration activities. Entire area was decorated colourfully with Jhankis depicting the birthof Lord Krishna and Krishna Jhoola. A special assembly was conducted to mark the birth of the deity. Children celebrated the occasion by singing and dancing with great joy. Beautiful decorations were put up to make this event more cheerful and colourful. Every independent country has its even National Flag. It is a price-less possession of the nation that be speaks it sovereignty. The state expects all citizens to keep the honour of its flag. The national flag of India reflects in every way the hopes and inspirations enshrined in our constitution.
The National Flag of India epitomizes its civilization and culture, heritage and freedom. The Indian national flag is a tricolor. It consists of three bears Saffron at the top, white in the middle dark and green at the bottom. Saffron is the symbol sacrifice and selfishness. The white colour in the middle stands for piety, purity, truth and simplicity. It reminds us that we Indian must he pure, and truthful at heart and simple in manners. Green stands for youth and energy. The Ashoke Chakra at the centre symbolizes the cult of Ashinsa, and the never ending activities in the country for its progress
To boost the same spirit of patriotism, on the 10th August primary section of RBK Global school had organised flag making activity. Grade 1 made flags in a collage for, using crushed crepe paper. Grade 2 made a small standing flag using ice cream stick. Grade 3 made flags with paper strips.Their indulgence in this creative activity was to make our learners imbibe the feel of saluting and giving respect to their nation and its flag.
Music ignites all areas of child development: intellectual, social and emotional, motor, language, and overall literacy. It helps the body and the mind work together. Patriotic songs are songs that demonstrate love for one’s country, or have themes that glorify self-sacrifice, land’s beauty, history or ideals.
A ‘Patriotic Song Competition’ was organized on 8th and 9th August 2017 to expose our children to music, while also enhancing their language and presentation skills.
The students prepared well for the competition and a wide range of songs were presented. While the choice of songs ranged from the patriotic to the popular, it was interesting that each child had worked hard to comprehend the lyrics and sing the songs with conviction. Each one of them sang with the same zeal evoking the feeling of patriotism in all present. Their songs invoked a strong sense of patriotism in each one who listened. The room was resplendent with a feeling of belonging and pride. We discovered potential talent in singing from amongst our students and are very optimistic that these students will bring glory to the school as wll as to nation in the future.
A competition is ground, a platform for a healthy growth of love and co-operation, hard work and an outstanding time piece. The final round ‘Patriotic Song Competition’ was organized on 11th August 2017. Our respected judges were Mr Girish Bhatnagar, music faculty of RBK International school Chembur, respected Principal Ma'am Dr. Shitala Prabhu and our dear coordinator Miss. Lakshmi Arun.

"Books are a mirror of ones soul which enrich the mind and soothe the heart."
A book fair is like a feast of books. To eye books of so many varieties and that too in a large number at a time is really a wonderful experience. RBK Global School organized three days ‘Book Fair’ from 27th to 29th July, 2017. RBK Global School believes in providing its students with holistic and informative literature to enrich their vocabulary and diction.
Scholastic Book Fairs serve to promote the habit of reading in school-going children. By offering children a wide selection of books and related material through the school system, they wish to give them an opportunity to read by choice and not by compulsion.
It was an amazing opportunity for teachers and parents to come together and browse through books with the children. The kids had fun sharing the books they had read. The children enjoyed the fair and picked books varying from science to spooky stories; from puzzles to poems; and from fiction to facts. The teachers equally helped the children in selecting the books. The children wished the fair to last for a longer time as it would give them an opportunity to read and access more informative literature besides their efficiently loaded school library. The attractive "wish list brochures" were filled up and taken home by students during the fair.
Books are our best friends. And book fairs play a great role in encouraging the reading habit among people of all age groups.
“If a child cannot learn in the way we teach;
we must teach in a way the child can learn.”
Field trips add fun to the entire experience of learning and enriching ourselves. RBK Global School firmly believes in innovating ourselves in teaching methodologies. The topic of Neighbourhood can best be understood only if the learners explore the same. With this objective, the Primary section organized a field trip to Neigbouring places campus on 23rd, 24th and 25th of July 2017 for Grade 1, 2 and 3 along with their respective teachers.
The exciting trip started with the cheer of the enthusiastic kids. Students observed the different kinds of houses on campus, something they are familiar with. Many of them were taking notes of what they saw. They visited the temple and the church. They also saw the police station, school and the hospital and understood the contribution of our helpers in the neighbourhood. They were asked to differentiate clean and dirty roads and causes of dirty roads. Children saw traffic on the road and teacher explained the necessity of using public transport. Children saw different vehicles like trains, BEST buses, cars, taxis, trucks and were able to identify them. They saw big bridges and flyovers, huge skyscrapers and buildings under construction. Children got a chance to share their knowledge with their friends.
When they were back in school they were asked to draw all that they saw on the field trip and write their reflection. It was indeed fascinating.
Although it was a rainy, it did not dampen the spirits of our enthusiastic learners and ended on a happy note. The learners, we‘re sure had enough information to share with their parents.
Education is that which liberates, liberates from fear, liberates from poverty, liberates from conflicts, liberates from ignorance and brings about a change in the capacities and talents latent in learners. To achieve this we need to change the age old teacher centred strategies to learner centred technology.
With this as our objective we at RBK Global entered a new venture, shifting from traditional delivery methods and set path on digital teaching and learning through digitally translated content by either teacher or available e-published content. Thus, empowering learners to grasp concepts more quickly, to connect theory and application more adeptly, and to engage in learning more readily. For facilitators it simplifies and saves time with classroom, Gmail, Docs and more to create paperless assignments and stay organized. Thus moving ahead as a Google School.
The silence in the RBK Global School campus finally came to an end with the chirping of happy students as the school gates opened after the holidays.
